Within the Parish of Woodstock is the small village of Bladon which is a short distance from Woodstock itself, The Parish Church of Saint Martin, Bladon is to be found up a very small lane off the main road, this is where the Dukes of Marlborough including the Spencer and Churchill families have worshiped over the centuries, here too are to be found the graves of various members of the family, including Winston Spencer Churchill, Randolf Henry Spencer Churchill (Father), Jennie (Mother) and Consuelo Vanderbilt are just a few of the notable names that can be seen on the memorials. Within the small but wonderful Church which is usually open a few moments peace can be had, all are welcome to enjoy Peace and Safety under its roof.
